About this product

Nival Yellow Mustard Oil is pressed from yellow (pili) mustard seeds grown by farmers in our producer network around Basti, Uttar Pradesh. Yellow mustard yields a lighter-coloured, milder-flavoured oil than black mustard, which makes it a versatile choice for daily cooking where you want the goodness of mustard oil without an overpowering bite.

Pressed the kachi ghani way — crushed slowly in a wooden/steel ghani that keeps temperatures below 40°C, so the natural aroma, pungency and nutrients are never cooked out.

Because it is genuinely cold-pressed and not refined, bleached or deodorised, the oil keeps its characteristic golden hue and the natural antioxidants that refining strips away.

Frequently asked questions

Is this oil refined?
No. It is cold-pressed and only filtered for clarity. Nothing is bleached, deodorised or chemically refined.
How is it different from black mustard oil?
Yellow mustard gives a lighter colour and a milder, less sharp flavour — easier for everyday cooking. Black mustard is darker and more pungent.
Is it free from argemone oil?
Yes. Our oil is pressed from clean, sorted yellow mustard seed and is free from argemone (a common adulterant in loose oil).
